Latin American Internet
Marketing Opportunities Grow
According to a recent study by e-marketer.com,
statistics show that "over 16% of US
sites offer some Spanish-language
content on their sites, and another
22% plan to do so during the next 12
months. Small companies are
especially interested in adding
Spanish to their sites."
Buying Power:
Not counting the rest of Spanish
speaking Latin America, the
Hispanic-American buying power
alone will expand to nearly $1
trillion in 2007. According to
Harry Pachon of the Tomas Rivera
Policy Institute "Hundreds of
thousands of Hispanic families
have joined the middle class-
over three million in Texas and
California alone."
More Users Online:
In another article from
Forrester Research
discussing the addition of
Spanish language to a
website, it stated that
nearly 50% of Hispanic
adults are online on a
monthly basis, an increase
of 45% from one year ago.

Globalization of Internet Increases
While
global Internet opportunities
continue to grow (over 75% of
worldwide online users are now
outside the U.S.), the online Latin
American market is growing rapidly
as well. This can present a
tremendous opportunity for those
businesses that reach out to this
market over the next months and
make their companies web presence
more friendly to those searching
online for their products or
services.
